Book Review

Born of Illusion by Teri Brown

I think I mentioned this at the end of March's post, this story fell so short. I was hoping that she fell in love with Jack the Ripper. That she knew him, knew what he did, but she fell in love with him in spite of this. Now THAT would have been a page turner.

Of course that isn't what happened. Not only was that not what happened, but the overall story line bored me. I felt as though it was really lacking substance. I think it focused too much on the science of biology of the human body. For the record, I never much cared for science or biology class. #JustSayin

Short Review: Lacked a lot.

Across the Universe by Beth Revis

I love this book and cannot wait to read the second one and continue the series! Not only that but the author, Beth Revis, is a North Carolina local. So am I! Plus I am an author. I feel like we were meant to be. :)

This is a unique story about life on a spaceship and a tyrant running the ship. It brings in mystery, science fiction, and romance. It's interesting, intriguing, and captivating. I cannot wait to see how the story continues.

Short Review: Futuristic and exciting!

Mila 2.0 by Debra Driza

I am more than halfway done with this book and I love it. I can't wait to finish it, but only to continue with the series. It's different, futuristic but modern, and very engaging. I love the detail written about Mila.
